Who are you and where are you located?

U.S. Certified Translation Service is the company name for 1World Resources, Inc. which prepares certified English translations for the U.S.C.I.S. and other organizations.  1World Resources, Inc. is a corporation registered in the State of Florida doing business under the name U.S. Certified Translation Service, which is a licensed translation company in Brevard County and the City of Melbourne, in Florida.

Are you a member of the American Translators Society?

There is NO such organization as the American Translators Society.  Our corporation is a corporate member of the American Translators Association and many of our translators are members of the American Translators` Association, but we do not require them to be members.  Many are members of other smaller regional translators` associations.

Are your translators "certified?"

All of our translators, editors, and proofreaders have advanced degrees in their specialty.  Which means they are more than fully competent to perform the translation.  We do not use people who only think they are translators because they know more than one language.  Neither the United States government nor the state governments certify translators.  Unlike some other countries, neither the United States nor the states license so-called "sworn" translators.  The American Translators` Association (ATA) does certify translators in individual language pairs.  This is important for translators who do not have degrees in translation or interpretation; however, it is worth repeating that all of our translators have advanced degrees in their specialties.

How do you certify a translation?

All of our certified translations exceed U.S.C.I.S. (immigration) requirements.  They are printed on company letterhead, which has all of our company contact information.  The translator signs a "certificate of accuracy" which states that he/she is competent to have done the translation.  The translator signs the document in front of a Notary Public, who also signs and seals the document.  The the final product exceeds USCIS requirements and is very professionally presented.

Your prices seem lower than other companies, why?

We do everything possible to fairly price our products except to cheat on quality.  Our pricing structure is based on the hourly rate we pay the translators to do the work plus the cost of materials and notarization.  Certified translations are our only business.  We use the highest quality materials when producing your translation.
